Ceramic Coating Preparation
It all starts with a thorough wash. With a foam cannon and hand scrub we ensure we get any and all particles of dust and debris from your vehicles surface. This includes all painted surfaces,the roof,windows,rims and tire wells. This wash helps us ensure that the Coating will bond correctly with the cleanest surface.
Auto Exterior Claybar
Next is a decontamination and clay bar treatment. A decontamination treatment is an iron wash to remove any residue of break dust or natural elements such as dust , tree sap, bugs, etc. After A Clay bar treatment is done to remove any micro particles of dirt and debris. This will be done on all painted surfaces and glass. (After a clay bar treatment your paint should feel smooth)
Auto Exterior Panel Prep
An IPA wipe down is next which is an extra measure to ensure the paint is ready for paint correction. The IPA wipe down removes any oils from products and our fingers.
Auto Exterior Window Prep
Then we then start prepping the glass for ceramic coating. This consist of water spot removal if necessary. Most vehicles can get water spots marred into the glass from rain,improper washing and even just day to day use. It’s important for us to remove them before applying the ceramic coating to ensure the cleanest surface possible. Once the water spot treatment has been done then we give the glass another thorough cleaning (the first was in the wash) and then they are prepped!
Paint Correction
After those 5 steps we are ready to paint correct! With our stage 1 paint correction we go panel by panel with a garage approved heavy cutting compound. This helps correct and remove swirls and very light scratches in the paint. It consist of using DA polishers with the heavy cutting compound to correct those imperfections
The prep process takes up most of the ceramic coating installation time as the installation itself takes no more than an hour and a half. With prep work all in all it takes 5/6 hours but we rather spend time on a meticulous prep to ensure the outcome is exactly what it should be .
